How to Convert a Wood-Burning Chiminea to Gas

Convert your Chiminea into a premium gas fire feature in 7 “Easy” Steps

With EasyFirePits, you can turn any wood-burning fire feature into a premium gas setup. No more lighter fluid, adding logs, or smelling like smoke after a night by the fire! Visit EasyFirePits.com today to get inspired. With the easy steps below, learn how to convert a Chiminea into your newest backyard attraction.

Step 1: Drill 1-inch hole in the bottom of the Chiminea

Step 2: Mount a 6-inch ring burner with EasyFirePits mounting kit

Step 3: Tape (with PTFE Tape) and attach brass to the hose fitting

Step 4: Connect the hoses (no PTFE Tape on the hose connections, never use tape on brass-to-brass connections)

Step 5: Install the regulator to your propane tank using the inside threads (reverse threaded, “lefty tighty, righty loosey”)

Step 6: Use pea gravel to fill in spaces below your burner. This keep propane from pooling in the Chiminea

Step 7: Turn on the gas. Light, and enjoy!
