Our stainless steel tiki torches not only look great, they’re very easy to install, taking as little as an hour with all supplies present. If you want to transform your backyard into a tropical paradise, look no further than starting with some EasyFirePits torches.
Step 1: Assemble Your Torches
Use the teflon sealant provided in each EasyFirePits kit to seal all of the connections of your torch. Be sure to use it on both ends, sealing the connection of the stem to the fire bowl as well as the stem to the flare fitting. Be sure to tighten your connections with a wrench. Also connect the spikes to the assembled torches (the sealed-off end of the modified Tee or X fitting).
Important Tip: Make sure your valve points downward, away from the bowl when fully open. You don’t want it pointing upward, as the fire bowls get super hot when lit. This will keep you from burning your fingers.
Step 2: Connect Your Hoses to Your Gas Source
Whether it’s liquid propane or natural gas, our hoses will connect to the source of your choice. Always use a regulator with propane, and be sure to lay your hoses out and plan where you want to plant each of your torches.
Step 3: Connect Your Torches to the Hoses
Connect the hoses to the male ends of the flare fittings. Remember, don’t use PTFE tape or sealant on brass-to-brass flare fitting connections.
Step 4: Plant Your Torches
Simply place your torches straight into the ground. Make sure they’re a safe distance from any tree branches that may be hanging around.
Step 5: Turn on Your Gas and Check for Leaks
Apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections and valves. If you see bubbles forming, you have a leak. Re-tighten your connection and make sure it’s snug, then test again. If no bubbles form, you’re leak free!
