Igniting Connection: The Revival Festival in Eden, Utah

There’s a special kind of magic that happens when people gather around fire—stories unfold, laughter rises, and connections deepen. In Eden, Utah, a unique festival has captured this essence, blending mindfulness, music, and community into an unforgettable outdoor experience. The Revival Festival in Eden, Utah isn’t just another event—it’s a celebration of presence, wellness, and shared energy, where this year fire played an intimate role in shaping the atmosphere.

The festival experience, not only in Eden, Utah, but all over the country and the world, empowers organizers and attendees alike to build their own creative identities; and, as you can see, fire-centered spaces give gatherings of new friends at a festival the feel of family in your own backyard.

At the heart of this gathering are thoughtfully assembled camps that serve more than just aesthetic or functional purposes. These spaces create intentional zones for meditation, conversation, and quiet reflection, transforming open fields into immersive sanctuaries. Among the innovators making this possible is DBT with Friends, a nonprofit therapy-minded community, who reached out to EasyFirePits with an idea for a custom 38-inch diameter nonagon portable propane fire pit / art piece, with three 12-inch double ring burners, representing the healing of mind, body, and spirit as one.

The Spirit of Revival: Where Mindfulness Meets Movement

Tucked in the scenic mountains of North Fork Park in Eden, Utah, the Revival Festival has carved out a niche as a destination for those seeking more than typical festival fare. Far from loud stages and crowded dance floors, this event focuses on intentional living—blending music, movement, and mindfulness practices into a cohesive journey of self-discovery and community connection.

Founded on teaching core skills of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness, the DBT with Friends camp brought EasyFirePits.com along, thus including a special light to the multi-day retreat that unfolded under open skies and starlit nights. Activities included meditation, sound baths, breathwork, yoga, live music, dance, art, bodywork, plant medicine, hands-on workshops, and more— all designed to ground participants in the moment and foster meaningful interaction.

Central to the experience is the fire-lit gathering area, known by its creator and fire pit designer Kilian DaBlaze, as the “DaBlaze Sanctuary”. Not just a decorative accent; the purpose-built space is a place where attendees could warm up after early morning sessions, share stories late into the night, toast s'mores, or simply sit in silence, absorbed by the calming flicker of a propane flame. The presence of fire enhances feelings of safety and comfort while contributing to the event’s intimate, grounded atmosphere. EasyFirePits.com couldn’t have been happier to be considered for involvement with this project and we are very excited to see the next phases in the life of the fire pit built for this event, as it continues to provide warmth and inspire positivity along the way wherever its portability and travels take it!

Creating Your Own Backyard Festival: A DIY Guide

Inspired by the warmth and connection of DBT with Friends and Revival? You don’t need a mountain retreat to create a similar experience. With the right tools, you can transform your backyard into a personal sanctuary powered by fire, nature, and intention. Here’s how to get started:

1. Choose the Right Location Select a level, open area at least 10 feet from structures, overhangs, or flammable materials. Ensure proper ventilation and compliance with local fire regulations.

2. Pick Your Fuel Type Decide between propane (portable, no trenching) or natural gas (permanent, continuous supply). Propane tanks can be hidden in nearby planters or storage benches for a clean look.

3. Assemble Your Kit Follow the included instructions to set up your burner, gas kit connections, and secure burner pan or base. Most EasyFirePits kits require no special tools—just two wrenches, your hands, and a few basic steps.

4. Add Flame Media Fill the burner pan with tempered fire glass or lava rock. These materials not only enhance visual appeal but also protect the burner and distribute flame evenly.

5. Design for Comfort and Flow Arrange seating in a circular pattern to encourage conversation. Add soft lighting—like solar path lights or our gas torches!

6. Personalize Your Space Incorporate plants, water features, or sound elements like wind chimes to elevate the ambiance. Consider adding a small Bluetooth speaker for background music during quiet evenings.

7. Maintain with Ease After each use, inspect the burner for debris and wipe down components. Store propane tanks safely and cover the fire pit when not in use to protect against moisture.

With minimal effort, you can create a space that mirrors the soulful, grounding energy of festival fire sanctuaries—right in your own backyard.
